GOES 8 Energetic Particle Monitor Data at 5 min Time Resolution

ResourceID
spase://NOAA/NumericalData/GOES/8/EPS/PT5M

Description

The energetic particle sensor (now called EP8 instead of EPS or EPM) data consists of electron, proton, and alpha particle data. The electrons consists of 3 energy flux channels with energies greater than 0.6 MeV. The protons consist of 7 energy channels from 0.6 to 500 MeV and the alpha particles consist of 6 energy channels from 4 to 500 MeV.

Description

Direct link to the GOES 8 EPS data in ASCII format as well as the energetic particle data from other GOES spacecraft. The data are sorted by year, month, spacecraft. The file names indicates the spacecraft number, data type, and time range. For example, g08_eps_5m_19960401_19960430.csv indicates the GOES 8 spacecraft EPS data from 1996-04-01 to 1996-04-30.
