According to the SWS archived scaled ionospheric data book, there was an CSIRO Type 2 ionosonde with 35 mm film in operation between 02/04/1959 and 30/04/1960, a Cossor 7562C Mark II between 01/05/1960 and 26/02/1970, an IPS 3E between 26/02/1970 and 16/01/1979. From 16/01/1979 to 04/06/1996, there were ionosondes with 16 mm film. According to the SWS archived Weekly Station Summary, at least since 19/05/1982, there was an IPS 4B ionosonde with 16 mm film in operation. Between 03/08/1994 and 25/02/2001, there was an IPS 4D, between 26/04/2001 and 23/12/2007, a CADI.
