Description

The Mundaring Ionosonde station near Mundaring, WA, Australia, had ionosondes since April of 1959 to December 2007. According to the SWS archived scaled ionospheric data book, there was an CSIRO Type 2 ionosonde with 35 mm film in operation between 02/04/1959 and 30/04/1960, a Cossor 7562C Mark II between 01/05/1960 and 26/02/1970, an IPS 3E between 26/02/1970 and 16/01/1979. From 16/01/1979 to 04/06/1996, there were ionosondes with 16 mm film. According to the SWS archived Weekly Station Summary, at least since 19/05/1982, there was an IPS 4B ionosonde with 16 mm film in operation. Between 03/08/1994 and 25/02/2001, there was an IPS 4D, between 26/04/2001 and 23/12/2007, a CADI.
