The Double Star Hot Ion Detector (HID) instruments are located on both the equatorial and polar satellites. They measure measure alpha-particles in the energy range 12 – 350 MeV in 4 channels (12-50 MeV, 50-130 MeV, 130-220 MeV, 220-350 MeV, and some heavier ions with larger atomic mass numbers from Li to Fe (mass 26) in 6 channels.
This data set contains Double Star 1 HID summary parameters at 1 min resolution. These parameters include the instrument status and ion fluxes (He, Li, Be, B, C, N, O, F, Mg, Ar, Fe).
