Radiosonde data of the troposphere and the stratosphere at Pirlangimpi (Garden Point) site during the DAWEX (text format)

ResourceID
spase://IUGONET/NumericalData/RISH/DAWEX/GPN/Radiosonde/radiosonde_gpn_txt

Description

Radiosonde sounding data at Pirlangimpi (Garden Point), Australia during three intensive observation periods (13-18 October, 15-20 November 15-20 and 11-16 December, 2001) in the Darwin Area Wave Experiment (DAWEX) campaign. The data are stored in the text files named nD(month)(day)(hour).txt for each launch of the balloon, and the time interval is about 3 hours. Pressure, temperature, humidity (relative humidity and dew point temperature) and horizontal wind velocity up to 35 km are stored at 0.1 km vertical interval. The data includes condition codes for each parameter ("0" means available). The value "-999" means missing data. Details are described in Tsuda et al. [J. Geophys. Res., 109, doi:10.1029/2004JD004946, 2004] .
