Observation data of the troposphere and lower stratosphere taken by the radiosonde soundings at Shigaraki MU Observatory (text format)

ResourceID

Description

Radiosonde sounding data at Shigaraki MU observatory in the Shiga prefecture, Japan (34.86N, 136.11E, 385m MSL) from September 26, 1986 to November 16, 2005. The data are averaged values for 30 m height in original data, and stored in the text file named (year)(month)(day)(hour).snd. The file name represents launching local time of the balloon. The first line of each file is serial number of sonde transmitter and launching local date (year, month, day) and time (hour, minute, second). In the second line and below, height, pressure, temperature, relative humidity, vertical velocity estimated from ascending speed and height data corresponding to the vertical velocity are listed. The value of -999 means missing data.
