Observation data of the troposphere and lower stratosphere taken by the radiosonde soundings at Uji (netCDF format)

Radiosonde sounding data at Uji in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan (34.91N, 135.80E, 23m MSL) since March 30, 1990. The data are stored in the netCDF (network Common Data Form) file named (year)(month)(day)(hour)(minute).nc in universal time, for each launch of the balloon. The netCDF file includes launching universal date, launching universal time, time zone (hour), latitude, longitude, sea level, time, height, pressure, temperature, relative humidity and zonal and meridional winds. The value of -999 means missing data.

If you acquire Uji radiosonde data, we ask that you acknowledge us in your use of the data. This may be done by including text such as radiosonde data at Uji were provided by Research Institute for Sustainable Humanosphere of Kyoto University. We would also appreciate receiving a copy of the relevant publications.
