Repository of IMAGE RPI Plasmagrams in CDF format at NASA CDAWeb, accessible via web interface. Name of the data resource: IM_K0_RPI.
Echo Amplitude Image [nV].
Most probable amplitude
Linear 1D array of frequency values, up to 256. Actual number of frequencies for which the voltage spectral density values were measured depends on the choice of frequency sweep (see "Number of Frequencies" parameter and its description below). The "256" value stated in Size is the upper limit.
Number of frequencies. Detailed plasmagram picture has the original number of frequencies as specified by RPI measurement parameters. Frequency axis varies from plasmagram to plasmagram. Plasmagram thumbnails have a fixed frequency axis. The original plasmagram data often requires transformation into thumbnail format by averaging.
Plasmagram Time. The time in EPOCH referes to the beginning of the plasmagram, Use Duration_ms to obtain stop time of the run.
Duration of one plasmagram measurement.
Instrument setting describing receiver gains in X/Y and Z channels, encoded. See data model description at http://ulcar.uml.edu/rpi.html for additional details on base gain decoding procedure.
List of 25 parameter values that specify RPI instrument configuration during the measurement. For further detail on parameter value interpretation see data model description document at http://ulcar.uml.edu/rpi.html.
Linear 1D array of values used to configure RPI instrument for a measurement mode.
Nadir crossing MET is the reference MET that uniquely identifies all RPI measurements. MET of the last Nadir crossing before the measurement starts.
Measurement start MET. Start MET is derived using the Nadir crossing MET and the time offset from the first packet header. Might not be unique due to telemetry losses.
