PLASTIC - PLasma And SupraThermal Ion and Composition. The PLASTIC Experiment provides Plasma Characteristics of Protons, Alpha Particles and Heavy Ions. PLASTIC provides Key Diagnostic Measurements of Mass and Charge State Composition of Heavy Ions and distinguishes Coronal Mass Ejection, CME, Plasma from Ambient Coronal Plasma.
