Description
The triaxial fluxgate magnetometer, located at a few tens of meters away from the spacecraft, was designed to provide the orthogonal components of the magnetic field: Hp was parallel to the spin axis that was held nearly parallel to the rotation axis of the Earth, He was directed toward Earth center, and Hn pointed eastward. The magnetometer had a range of ±1000 nT (without saturation) and a resolution of 0.1 nT. Data files contain long descriptive header.

Direct link to the GOES 15 Magnetic Field Monitor data in CSV format as well as the magnetometer data from other GOES spacecraft. The data are sorted by year, month, spacecraft, and file type. The file names indicates the data type, spacecraft number, year, month, and resolution. For example, g08_magneto_1m_19950201_1995_02_28.csv, indicates GOES 8 magnetometer data at 1 min time resolution from Feb 1, 1995 to Feb 28, 1995.
