RadioJOVE Dual Dipole Array and RadioJOVE receiver system.
The Dual-Dipole Array is a 2 element array separated by 20 feet. Each antenna element is approximately 25 feet long. Polarization is linear. The antenna beam pattern can be steered by adjusting the height of the antennas and through the introduction of a phasing cable to the transmission line from one of the dipole antennas. See the Antenna Kit Manual for details.
The RadioJOVE direct conversion receiver has a 7 KHz RF bandwidth and operates at 20.1 MHz. Integration time is 100 ms per sample.
See the Information URLs for links to documents providing additional descriptions of the instrument characteristics.
The Dual Dipole Array and RadioJOVE Receiver system is the standard configuration for many of the Radio JOVE observatories.
