The Spherical Elementary Current Systems instrument is a virtual instrument representing the collection of ground magnetometer arrays used to derive spherical elementary currents over North America and Greenland at 10 s resolution. The SECS observatory consists of ground magnetometers from the CANMOS, CARISMA, DMI (in Greenland), GIMA, MACCS, THEMIS, STEP ground magnetometer arrays. Ground magnetometers contributing to each SECS data file may vary from day to day depending upon data availability.
