Military imaging spacecraft series that also measure downward particle fluxes,
magnetic fields, electron densities, ion drifts, and provide visible light images on the
different spacecraft near the Earth. Spacecraft are in sun-synchronous polar orbits at
830 km altitude crossing the polar regions
in either the dawn dusk direction or the pre-noon pre-midnight direction.
