Double Star 1 and 2, also known as Explorer 1/2 or Tan Ce 1/2 (TC 1/2) , is a European-Chinese (PRC) (ESA-CNSA) two-satellite joint mission.
Double Star 1 is an equatorial orbiter, while Double Star 2 is a polar orbiter. The Project Scientist for Double Star is Philippe Escoubet of ESA/ESTEC.
