The NOAA 9 spacecraft was launched
on 1984-12-12 into a ~850 km, 99.17 deg inclination (sun synchronous)
orbit. Principal instruments were the Advanced Very High Resolution
Radiometer (AVHRR), TIROS Operational Vertial Sounder (TOVS), Space
Environment Monitor (SEM), Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE),
and the Solar Backscatter UV Radiometer (SBUV/2). Data were
provided at least until 1990
