and space weather data from a near-polar, Sun-synchronous, 830 km altitude orbit with the Local
Time nodes for DMSP F18 of about 17:30 and about 05:30.
Main missions: cloud imagery and MW imaging/temperature/humidity
sounding. Substantial contribution to Space weather. Operation interrupted by a telecommand outage on
11 February 2016. Satellite loss confirmed on 24 March.
